The tower holds circa 7 500 m³ and is the first of seven planned in Austin Water's growing reclaimed water system. Reclaimed water is created by reusing treated wastewater effluent that is normally discharged to the Colorado River. Austin Water uses reclaimed water for non-drinking purposes, such as irrigation, cooling and manufacturing. Architecturally unique design, rainwater collection panels on the roof; 48 solar panels to create electricity; drought-tolerant landscape. |
